Fresh Applesauce Oatmeal

This was my first time trying out applesauce with oatmeal, but it came out far far better than expected! If you haven’t done this already, I definitely think it’s worth a go. Just a few scoops of applesauce on top (don’t mix it in), a bit of cinnamon, and a drizzle of agave.

The applesauce is super easy to make, too. It’s the peak season for my transparent apple tree, so I just pick a basket of them, slice them up, and heat them in a casserole dish until they’re completely soft. This probably takes under 10 minutes. Then I just use a hand blender on it for a couple minutes to make everything all nice and smooth, then add in agave to taste. This is absolutely the easiest and quickest way to make applesauce — no stove or constant stirring involved!

    1. Aw thanks so much! The best part about it is that it’s incredibly quick and easy. And I’m completely with you on the cinnamon thing 😛
