Fig and Molasses Bread

For breakfast, I tried out a slice of light rye bread topped with molasses and slices of dried fig.

It turned out a pretty good combination!

  1. i found a lady who bakes bread on request that’s vegan and gluten-free and one of my faves is loaded with dried fruit. You’re inspiring me to ask for fig molasses with rye. 🙂

    1. oh mygosh that sounds fantastic! How amazing would that be to have fresh vegan GF fig and molasses rye bread 🙂 I gotta see if there’s anyone who does that in my area haha

    1. hmm you know what, I’d describe it as being a touch of both sweet and bitter. It has a really rich thick flavor – a bit like spreading sweet licorice on bread 😀
