Junk Food Day! – vegan hot dog

I actually had a hot dog today! For the first time in I have no idea how long (:  I don’t think I’ll make a habit of it, but it was such a treat!!

And I know what you’re thinking…yes, that absolutely was way too much Dijon mustard. It was very hot  o_O

  1. Good for you for posting about junk food! Sometimes you’ve just got to cave! Hot dogs – I’m ashamed to admit – were one of my favorite pre-vegan indulgences. Loaded w/ mustard, sweet pickle relish, celery salt and catsup.

    1. Whew! I wasn’t sure it was okay to post about regular old hot dogs because I usually try to keep my blog pretty healthy 🙂 But I know what you mean…thank goodness for veggie dogs!

  2. Before coming to the US I was always fascinated by the hot dog stands seen in American movies and shows, like ER…then I became vegetarian and never had a hot dog from a hot dog stand…I think I need a vegan hot dog stand somewhere…not that I even desire hot dogs, but you know the idea of the stands. It looked cool back then…

    1. lol I feel you, there’s this awesome hot dog stand in my city called Japadog and I was so sad when I went vegan and realized that I wouldn’t be able to go there anymore! But…I checked just in case, and sure enough they had veggie dogs 😀 I’ve been checking around the city and most hot dog stands seems to offer veggie dogs so hopefully you’ll have no problem!! Veggie dogs aren’t usually GF, but they’re almost always vegan as far as I know 😀

      1. hm, I never actually thought about asking, but maybe as summer rolls, I will. just to satisfy my long fascination with them 😀
