Today’s breakfast was a simple but delicious bowl of fresh brown GABA rice, a few slices slices of gobo (burdock root), and some shredded seaweed (I try and eat seaweed in some form at least once a day because of its enormous nutritional value!).
Gobo is a new favorite of mine – it’s very sweet and crunchy, and has a number of health benefits. Gobo and brown rice is a common meal among Zen Buddhists, and I recently discovered that it’s also quite popular in the macrobiotic diet. And luckily, it tastes great!
